PE Maker Overview

PE (Performance Expectation) Maker generates a simple Performance Expectation from a user-selected DCI subidea, SEP subpractice, and (optionally) a CCC subconcept. An AI tool (Claude) suggests language for the performance expectation. The user can adopt this language as-is, edit it, or ignore it. The user can also write a clarification statement and an assessment boundary if desired.

A code is automatically generated following this pattern: “SV” + two-character grade band code + DCI core idea code + “1”. All codes use the suffix “1” as I didn’t want to worry about identifying existing similar codes and incrementing the suffix at this time. A related point is that StandardsView does not yet store newly-generated material.

The resulting PE can be exported as a pdf or JSON.

PE Maker is here, and the prompt and examples sent to Claude are here.
