Hi Tom! I think what you have here is a great start that will greatly benefit future standards adoption teams. As you mention, historically, we are due for a refresh in just a few years! First, have you considered writing an article for an NSTA journal? I am a reviewer, and I think submitting a piece on reframing standards in this manner would be of interest to readers and help start the conversation about future standards and how to make them more useful. I have spent many hours working with teachers to unpack the NGSS and help them see the connections, scope, intentions, and limitations. Having a tool that would make these elements more obvious and allow for customization while retaining the heart of the NRC framework would be amazing. All the best.
